Mike Barnstead is the Marketing Manager for Decorative and Engineering Coatings for MacDermid’s Advanced Surface Finishing business in the Americas. In his position, Mike is responsible for the marketing and product line management of MacDermid’s Decorative product line, including CuMac electrolytic coppers, NiMac nickel plating products, Macrome chrome and TriMac III trivalent chrome plating products, and the Engineering Coatings product line, including Niklad Electroless Nickel, ChromKlad Hard Chrome plating products and Barrett Sulfamate Nickel plating products. His area of responsibility and expertise also includes the MacuPlex Plating-on-Plastics (POP) product group and the aluminum wheel plating program. Mike has been involved in the Metal Finishing business for 18 years, the last 10 with MacDermid. Prior to MacDermid, Mike worked for a large metal finishing company, involved with quality management, production management and process cycle development. He has held global product management, marketing and technology positions with MacDermid, and has worked and lived abroad in Shanghai, China as MacDermid’s Technical Manager for Asia. Mike is active in the NASF and is currently Chairman of the Technology Committee.

Bob Griffin is the Marketing Manager for Anti-Corrosion and Functional Coatings for MacDermid’s Advanced Surface Finishing business in the Americas. In his position, Bob is responsible for the marketing and product line management of MacDermid’s Anti-Corrosion and Functional product line, include the Kenlevel, IsoBrite, Envirozin and Enviralloy Zinc and Zinc Alloy plating products, the complete array of chromate and non-chromate conversion coatings and TriPass passivates, and the unique range of Aqualac and Torque ‘N Tension topcoats. He is also responsible for MacDermid’s MacuGuard Mechanical zinc and zinc alloy product line and the MatteBlack polyurethane paint product line. Bob also works extensively with MacDermid’s ZinKlad Program, a full range of RoHS and ELV compliant anti-corrosion high performance coatings supplied through MacDermid’s network of audited Zinklad Approved Platers. Bob has been in the Metal Finishing industry for over thirty years and has been with MacDermid for 26 years. Prior to his current position, Bob spent 15 years as a Senior Process Specialist involved in field technical service and development of zinc and chromate/passivate finishing. He holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Southern Connecticut State University. Bob is active in the NASF and serves on several technical committees.

Cleaning and Surface Preparation
Rob Berry is the Marketing Manager for Surface Conditioning and Light Metal Products for MacDermid’s Advanced Surface Finishing business in the Americas. In his position, Rob is responsible for the marketing and product line management of MacDermid’s extensive offerings for metal cleaning, activation and stripping products. Several of the lines he manages include the Metex, IsoPrep and Clepo powdered and liquid soak and electro-cleaning products, acid salts and copper and nickel strippers. Rob is also responsible for MacDermid’s KeyKote phosphate product line and the RoHS compliant Chemidize and Iridite NCP line of non-chrome passivates for stand alone corrosion protection or pre-paint treatment of aluminum. Rob has been with MacDermid for 18 years, and prior to his position in Marketing, he has held positions in Quality Control, R & D, and Technical Service. Rob attended Waterbury State Technical College and Central Connecticut University. He is active in the NASF and is the chairman for the Surface Preparation Technology sub-committee.
