True Logic Opens Asia-Pacific Regional Office in Singapore

TrueLogic Company, LLC, maker of TrueChem chemical and wet-process management/control software, has announced the opening of its Asia-Pacific regional office in Singapore. TrueLogic Far East will be responsible for business development, sales, and customer satisfaction for TrueChem across the Asia-Pacific region.

The move comes as many of TrueLogic’s customers are asking for the TrueChem software to be installed in their Asian factories to assist in SPC-based quality control improvement and in helping to ensure consistency in their production and laboratory operations. Many of these companies are also interested in introducing TrueChem to their suppliers to help improve their quality and to assist in auditing of those suppliers’ quality-control processes, the company said.

“This is a move we have been planning for some time,” said Matt Akin, president of TrueLogic. “In addition to our U.S. and European clients who have asked us to provide our software and support to their operations and suppliers in Asia, we’re also receiving quite a lot of interest and opportunities from companies based in the region. We’re excited about the potential for growth in Asia across all of our client and industry sectors.”

In support of the operation, TrueLogic announced the appointment of Tobin L. Alexander as director for the Asia-Pacific region. Alexander, who will be based in Singapore with responsibility for the performance of TrueLogic Far East, possesses 25 years of manufacturing and IT sales and consulting experience across the Asia-Pacific region. These include time with Siebel Systems and IBM Business Consulting Services.

“The economic growth in Asia, including the meteoric rise of EMS companies, PCB manufacturers, and surface finishing operations in the region, are all compelling reasons for us to be here,” Alexander said. “In order to do business in Asia, you need to be in Asia—and that’s why we’re here. We want to show our commitment to our clients and to the markets in the region.”
