Peter van Gorp is the Technical Manager for Rectifiers and related products for American Plating Power, LLC. As a co-founder of the company, Peter is responsible for the production and test management of American Plating Power’s products. His expertise includes Thyristor Controlled Rectifiers, Switch Mode Power Supplies, Variable Transformer Rectifiers, Reverse Pulse Power Supplies, and various Controllers. Peter has been with American Plating Power for 6 years, and also heads up their R & D and Technical Service divisions. Peter received his electronics education in the Netherlands, and has over 18 years experience in design and development of power electronics products and software design.

Electroless Nickel Problem Solving and Related Applications
James “Jim” Wetherald serves as a technical sales representative for the Electroless Nickel Division of Ronatec, C2C, Inc., based in Carlsbad, Calif. He works closely with direct customers and distributors addressing issues with a “hands-on” approach.
Jim graduated from San Diego State University with degrees in Integrated Financial Systems and Applied Mathematics, and has studied chemical engineering and JIT systems management. His six years in the metal finishing industry, combined with excellent training from Shawn Wetherald, Mike Aleksinas, Joe Zabielski—as well as other well known industry experts—has made him a valuable asset in electroless nickel problem solving and its related applications.

Matt Stauffer is the Director of Technical Service at Pavco, Inc. in Charlotte, N.C. He leads a group that specializes in helping customers maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot a wide variety of metal finishing processes. He has 23 years of experience in metal finishing R&D and technical service. Matt has research experience in zinc alloys and high corrosion-resistant finishing systems in addition to extensive formulation experience in antimicrobial electrodeposited coatings, bright nickel, trivalent chrome, acid copper, and cleaning chemistries.
