Countdown to SUR/FIN ’08: Booth Space Going Fast!
With booth space for SUR/FIN 2008 already 75% sold out, the National Association for Surface Finishing (NASF), which manages the show, is encouraging potential exhibitors to move fast if they want to reserve a prime spot on the show floor.
Next year’s event, which will be held at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis, has already drawn requests for 150 booth spaces. By comparison, the final number of spaces reserved at SUR/FIN 2008 totaled 220 when all was said and done—a 30% increase over 2006. With bigger, better and more exhibits planned for 2008—plus, a technical program featuring the latest technologies—show organizers anticipate another strong showing.
To provide further enticements to exhibit, NASF has announced that some vendors may qualify for its “Loyalty Program.” How it works: If you had a 10 x 10 booth at SUR/FIN 2007 in Cleveland, and you want to have a 10 x 20 booth this year, that extra 100 square feet is absolutely free. According to Barry Lee Cohen, chairman of SUR/FIN 2008, this provision reflects increased exhibitor willingness to invest in their exhibits—something the association wants to continue to encourage.
“We want to be able to enlarge the exhibits, vary the type of exhibits, and thank our loyal, committed exhibitors by giving them the opportunity to further showcase themselves,” Cohen said.
