Greg Bocchi, PCI Executive Director, Announces Resignation

After more than 24 years of dedicated service to The Powder Coating Institute (PCI) and the coatings industry, Greg Bocchi has announced his resignation from the position of executive director, effective April 30. Bocchi has accepted the position of president of The Vinyl Institute in Arlington, Va. The Vinyl Institute represents manufacturers of vinyl resin and vinyl systems additives.

“I am leaving PCI with mixed feelings,” Bocchi said. “It was a very difficult decision, as PCI has been a major part of my life for the past 24 years. I owe the PCI board of directors, the membership, my dedicated staff, and key outside vendors a debt of gratitude for their contributions to PCI’s success during my tenure. I will always cherish the many friendships and wonderful memories from my 24 years at PCI, and I will always be extremely proud of what we have accomplished together with this organization.”

Steve Houston, PCI president, acknowledged Bocchi’s contributions. “The PCI board, its members, and the PCI staff would like to thank Greg for his 24 years of dedicated service to the organization and the industry,” he said. “Greg helped establish a successful trade show, and a variety of training materials, publications, and marketing programs—all aimed at increasing the use of powder coating as a viable and versatile industrial finishing method, and promoting the use and benefits of powder coating and powder-coated products.”

PCI, which represents suppliers of powder coating materials, application equipment, and systems, as well as related products and services, said it expects to announce a replacement within the next few months.
