Last Call to Reserve Your Seat for the J.D. Power & Associates Featured Presentation

With SUR/FIN 2008 right around the corner, tremendous excitement is building for the Automotive Symposium featured speaker, Dr. Bob Schnorbus, chief economist and director of macroeconomics at J.D. Power & Associates. During his 90-minute presentation, which jump-starts the day’s programming at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, Dr. Schnorbus will address a host of timely and pertinent issues of critical importance to virtually all channels serving the automotive industry.

This is not your run-of-the-mill conference keynote. Dr. Schnorbus will share important strategic information on the automotive market as well as economic factors impacting both personal spending and industrial output. This high-value presentation will include discussions on the stock market, employment, and housing—all of which impact sales and automakers’ projections for production. Finishers will find this information critical since industrial production projections trickle down the channel and impact sub-suppliers.

Dr. Schnorbus is uniquely qualified to speak on these key issues. At J.D. Power & Associates, he is responsible for tracking economic and automotive developments globally and developing vehicle sales forecasts for North America, South America, and Asia within the firm’s Global Forecasting Group. He has also overseen the development of syndicated reports, such as the 1998 Sport Utility Vehicle and Used Vehicle reports, as well as the 1998 syndicated report on the Asian economic crisis. In addition to publishing the firm’s monthly Canadian PowerTracker and Global Auto Sales Report, Dr. Schnorbus is a monthly contributor to the J.D. Power and Associates Sales Report, and he also contributes to the production of the U.S. Weekly Light-Vehicle Sales Report.
