Columbia Chemical Granted Final Approval from REACH

Columbia Chemical has received final approval from the European Chemicals Agency for European REACH (Registration, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) regulations, covering all products required by the initial round of REACH requirements.

Pete Grasson, Plant Manager, coordinated with Intertek to achieve the approval. “Columbia Chemical will continue to work under the guidance of Intertek in regards to REACH regulations by meeting and complying with all the requirements for remaining registration periods in 2013 and 2018.” He adds, “Columbia Chemical has also updated our Material Safety Data Sheets to comply with REACH regulations. The new ‘Safety Data Sheets (SDS)’ format will accompany each order that we ship to the European Union (EU).”
