In an effort to meet the growing demand of its integrated analytical solutions, Siemens Industry’s Process Instrumentation and Analytics, based in Houston, has announced a strategic partnership with S&B Plant Services, Ltd. to support companies in the water and wastewater, oil & gas, energy, and minerals industries.
Siemens Process Instrumentation & Analytics, part of the company’s Sensors and Communications business unit, is a global leader in complete engineering solutions from process orientation to process return (pipe-to-pipe, including shelters and installation, start-up and commissioning services). A teaming and marketing agreement was executed to result in an improved ability to meet market demand with a total integrated solution based on Siemens analytical products/services and S&B’s field construction/maintenance services.
As part of the partnership, S&B Plant Services will provide the constructability and the field direct labor and supervision for the installation phase. Siemens and S&B Plant Services will simplify project requirements by taking (or owning) responsibility for every step of the project—from conception to start-up. Together, both companies will offer an integrated analytical measurement system, delivering accurate, reliable measurements at lowest overall project cost.
“The combination of S&B’s services and Siemens solutions enables us to meet growing customer requirements of working with a single vendor/supplier, executing total integrated analyzer solutions with minimum risk,” said Glen Irving, the director of sales and services for Siemens Industry Process Instrumentation and Analytics. “The combined integrated solutions, vast experience in plant services, industry expertise and excellent support are key factors in our decision to select S&B Plant Services.”
Greg Atteberry, president for S&B Plant Services, Ltd., concurred. “Together, Siemens and S&B Plant Services capabilities will help our customers to continually address the ever-changing landscape of process analytics in the industrial market," he said. "S&B looks forward to future opportunities and successes in delivering these transparent services to the market, as a result of teaming with Siemens."
