Dennis Dewitt Blaugh, President of C&R Plating Corp., Passes

43-year veteran of C&R Plating played a significant role in the company's success.

Dennis Dewitt Blaugh, president of Indiana-based C&R Plating Corporation—a subsidiary of KC Jones Plating Co.— passed away on Wed., April 11, 2012, at Physicians Regional Hospital in Naples, Fla. Blaugh, who was making plans for his retirement in early June 2012 after 43 years of service, was 61.

"Dennis will be remembered as a friend to all, a trusted colleague, a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather," said Brian Harrick, vice president of product development and quality, KC Jones Plating Co. "He was a big part of the success of C&R Plating as a result of his leadership and mentoring. His sudden passing is a shock to all who knew him in the metal finishing industry. His contribution to the company and the community will surely be missed."

Blaugh is survived by his wife, Marsha; a daughter, Missy (Doug) Sands; grandchildren, Jordan, Liam and Rhiannon Sands, all of Columbia City; a stepson, Jeffrey (Carla) Stier of Fort Wayne; step grandchildren, Brittany and Alison Godfrey of Ohio; his mother and three siblings, Mary Blaugh, Gail (Bonnie) Blaugh, Barbara (Edward) Thompson and Doug (Sindy) Blaugh, all of Columbia City.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Richard Lee Blaugh.
