DuPont Automotive OEM Coatings Wins GM’s 2008 Supplier of the Year Award

20 August 2009

DuPont Automotive OEM Coatings has been named a GM Supplier of the Year for 2008. The honor, DuPont Automotive’s second in as many years, is in recognition of DuPont’s performance as a global provider of finishes.

Bo I. Anderson, former GM group vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain, explained the reasoning behind the selection of DuPont Automotive OEM Coatings, citing DuPont’s “consistent ability to exceed GM's expectations in the areas of quality, service, technology, and price demonstrates your commitment to our mutual success.” DuPont, on a worldwide basis, supplies GM with a variety of products, including undercoats, color coats and clear coats.

B.C. Chong, vice president and general manager for DuPont Automotive OEM Coatings, described the honor as “particularly special to DuPont” because of its long and successful partnership with GM. “We look forward to providing GM with DuPont technology and products that will enable them to meet future regulatory requirements while ensuring consumer satisfaction."
