IFH Group Acquires Williams Powder Coating

The Innovative Fluid Handling Group, or IFH, has purchased Phrophetstown, Ill.-based Williams Powder Coating and in the process created a new division called Powder Coaters, LLC.

The acquisition of Williams Powder Coating is the latest step in IFH Group’s vertical integration program that will complement its capabilities in fabricated metal products. According to IFH, the purchase will allow the company to fabricate, sandblast and powder coat a wide range of vehicle chassis, large weldments—including tanks and trailers larger than 5 ft X 7 ft square X 10 ft long,—as well as a variety of special products.

“Many of our customers know we are a major source of hydraulic oil reservoirs, fuel tanks and fluid storage and dispensing systems,” said Ryan McCarty, director of sales at The IFH Group. “But we also have extensive capabilities in metal fabrication of all types of products, including vehicle frameworks, production part assemblies, large grease reservoir units for restaurants, and small to large custom reservoirs in many types of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminized steel and aluminum.”

In addition to functioning as a vertically integrated member of The IFH Group’s manufacturing operations, Powder Coaters, LLC, will service the powder coat customer on a national level. Types of products currently being processed include a variety of vehicle chassis, tanks and large and small weldments.
